A well-established medical design company recently approached Allen Field Company for help with the manufacturing of several casings for their medical equipment. The various items required multiple methods of manufacturing using different materials. Allen Field was able to successfully source and manufacture a plastic casing for a medical mixer, as well as a die-casted metal housing for a similar medical stirrer.

 

For the plastic casing, Allen Field blow molded poly propylene to create the final product. Our twelve years of experience in overseas manufacturing processes has established connections with the highest skilled factories in . The second housing was die-casted in Zamak-3 for ultimate strength and protection. Zamak-3 is the most common alloy for hot chamber die casting; with a combination of superior mechanical properties and low melting/manufacturing costs, it fulfills the needs for most die casting applications.

 

For both laboratory instruments, foam and metal rods were also produced to hold medical vials in place while shaken. Quality and stability were key attributes in mind when sourcing and manufacturing these pieces, as they directly secure the fluids.
