The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers recently released a study that revealed the corrugated packaging sector reduced its carbon footprint between 2009 and 2011 by 4.8 percent. That, in turn, followed a stretch from 2006 through 2008 in which the corrugated packaging sector cut its carbon footprint by almost 12 percent.
